Backing Up and Restoring Monitoring Rules
ZendHQ monitoring rules define conditions of your monitoring events that trigger actions. You can back up or restore rules from the ZendHQ User Interface.
How to back up rules
The rules are stored in files in JSON format.
-
Open the ZendHQ User Interface.
-
Under the Monitoring tab, navigate to the Configuration section.
-
Select the Bulk actions dropdown and select Back up all rules.
The File Save dialog of your operating system opens.
-
Select a target directory and click Save.
ZendHQ exports the rules as a JSON file.
How to restore rules from a backup
Restoring rules from a backup overwrites the current rules; consider making a backup of the current rules before restoring a different version.
-
Open the ZendHQ User Interface.
-
Under the Monitoring tab, navigate to the Configuration section.
-
Select the Bulk actions dropdown and select Restore rules.
The File Open dialog of your operating system opens.
-
Select the previously backed up JSON file and select Open.
ZendHQ displays a warning that restoring rules will overwrite the current rules.
-
To overwrite the current rules with the backup, choose Restore rules.
To keep the current rules, choose Cancel.
