Configuring Job Queue

To configure Job Queue output settings:

1. In the Zend Server UI, go to the Job Queue | Settings page.

2. Select the General tab.
3. In the Job Output section, configure the following settings:
   • Store jobs output - select this option to keep the output for jobs in the database.
   • Store only failed jobs output - select this option to only keep the output for failed jobs in the database.
   • Do not store jobs output - select this option to not store job output at all.

   • Max DB size for jobs output - define the maximum database space for storing job output data.

4. Click Save.
   Your new settings are saved.
5. Restart Zend Server to apply the changes.

To configure Job Queue load settings:

1. In the Zend Server UI, go to the Job Queue | Settings page.
2. Select the General tab.
3. In the Load section, enter the maximum number of HTTP based jobs which can be executed simultaneously in the entire Job Queue system.
4. In a cluster, select the adjacent drop-down menu to determine whether the concurrency limit applies to the entire cluster or per server in the cluster.
5. Click Save.
   The event settings are saved.
6. Restart Zend Server to apply the changes.

To configure Job Queue maintenance settings:

1. In the Zend Server UI, go to the Job Queue | Settings page.
2. Select the General tab.
3. In the Maintenance section, configure the following settings:
   • Keep history time - define how long a completed, failed or removed job, is stored in the database.
   • Keep failed jobs history time - define how long a failed job is kept in the database.

   • Max DB size for completed jobs - define the maximum database space for completed jobs data.

   • Max DB size for failed jobs - define the maximum database space for failed jobs data.

4. In the Pulse section, configure the following settings:
   • Success ratio color in success status - set the color and value for the success status.
   • Success ratio color in warning status - set the color and value for the warning status.

   • Average wait time threshold - define when the average wait time should be colored in red.

5. Click Save.
   Your new setting are saved.
6. Restart Zend Server to apply changes.

To configure Job Queue events settings:

1. In the Zend Server UI, go to the Job Queue | Settings page.
2. Select the Events tab.
3. Enable a job event by selecting the relevant check-box for:

   • Job execution delay - this event is triggered when a job exceeds its defined execution time.

   • Job execution error - this event is triggered when a job fails execution .

   • Job logical error - this event is triggered when a logical error occurs during job execution.

   • Max concurrent jobs - this event is triggered when the set amount of concurrent jobs reached the defined limit.

4. Configure the following settings for each event:
   • Max job execution delay (Only available for the Job execution delay event) - Define the maximum waiting time for a job after which an event is triggered.
   • Severity - Set the level of severity for the event.
   • Email - Enter an email address to be notified of a triggered event.
   • Call URL - Enter a URL to execute a customized action.
5. Click Save.
   The event settings are saved.
6. Restart Zend Server to apply changes.

To configure the component:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Components.
2. From the Components list, select the component.
   The Expanded view will display the directives associated with the component.
3. Review the assorted directives and their descriptions, and configure the component according to your personal preferences. For information on how to configure directives, see Working with Components.
4. In the Action bar, click Save.

5. In the toolbar, the restart icon lights up , indicating a restart is needed to apply changes. Click to restart server and apply changes.
