Introduction to the PHP Toolkit for IBM i
The PHP Toolkit for IBM i was a Zend Server for IBM i extension that enabled interaction with native mode services through the old I5COMD server, which is no longer distributed by Zend. The XMLSERVICE Toolkit provides a Compatibility Wrapper library that implements many of the functions that were provided in the PHP Toolkit extension.
The PHP Toolkit for IBM i documentation is included here for the convenience of customers who are converting to the XMLSERVICE Toolkit. The functions have been annotated to show whether they have been implemented in the Compatibility Wrapper. This documentation should also be useful in understanding the functionality of existing Toolkit code, for the purpose of replicating that functionality using the XMLSERVICE Toolkit.
