Event Severity Levels

Event severity levels reflect your personal preferences as to how important the monitored EventsEvents are a result of the monitoring component checking your system and collecting information about a specific occurrence that indicates that your environment is displaying uncharacteristic behavior. are to your development or production environment. Event severity levels for Global rules are predefined, yet can be customized on the Edit Rules page. For example, the Database Error rule triggers an Event when one of the watched database functions returns 'FALSE'. By default, the severity level for this rule is defined as Critical, yet this can be changed.

The levels are displayed for each Event listed on the Event List (Overview | Events), and graphically represented by colored bars:
