What's New in Zend Server

This section introduces new features and components available in Zend Server for IBMi 6.3.

Guide Page

A new UI page under the Overview tab. This page contains useful information about Zend Server, and guides users to core features and tasks.

Sample Apps

Zend Server now allows you to deploy any one of your favorite application platforms. From the Guide Page, you can deploy a Magento, Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, phpBB, and phpMyAdmin app, as well as Zend's demo application.

PHP 5.5

Zend Server includes full support of PHP 5.5, including extensions, and upgrade options from previous PHP versions.

Apache 2.4

If you are using Ubuntu 13,10, you can now install Zend Server on Apache 2.4.

Enhanced Deployment

Zend's deployment mechanism now allows you to include a readme file in your application or library packages.

Job Queue HTTPS

HTTPS jobs can be created and queued in Zend's Job Queue.

PHP XMLSERVICE Toolkit

For Zend Server on IBMi users, the PHP XMLSERVICE Toolkit is now available as a default library. From the Guide Page, the PHP Demo Scripts application can be deployed, with usage examples of the library and general PHP examples. The library and demo scrips can be deployed on Windows as well.
