Installing Dependencies with Bower

This procedure describes how to install dependencies in a project using Bower.

Prerequisites

An installed external Bower instance:
- Install Bower packages. See http://bower.io/#install-bower for more information.
- Install the desired packages.
- Create a 'bower.json' file. See http://bower.io/docs/creating-packages/#bowerjson for more information.
A PHP project containing defined dependencies in a 'bower.json' file.

Important!

Zend Studio's integration with Bower will only functions correctly if these prerequisites are met.

To install dependencies with Bower:

In the menu-bar, go to Window | Preferences | Bower.
The Bower preferences dialog is displayed.

Enter the path to the Bower cmd file (e.g., C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\npm\bower.cmd).
Click Apply, and then OK.
In the PHP Explorer, right click your project, and select Bower | Install Dependencies.
The defined dependencies will be installed in your project.
