Installing the Amazon AWS Toolkit Plugin

This procedure describes how to install the Amazon AWS Toolkit plugin on top of your Zend Studio. You will need to install the Amazon AWS Toolkit plugin in order to be able to work with Amazon AWS Toolkit for Zend Studio.

Instructions on how to complete a procedure

To install the Amazon AWS Toolkit plugin:

  1. When Zend Studio opens, the Welcome Page appears. You can also open the Welcome Page by going to Help | Welcome if your product is already open.

  2. In the Welcome Page's plugin list, mark the 'Amazon' checkbox and click Apply changes.

  1. Your Zend Studio restarts with the Amazon AWS Toolkit plugin installed.

You can now begin to set up the Amazon AWS Toolkit for Zend Studio by meeting the prerequisites.

 

 

Instructions on how to complete a procedure

To install the Amazon AWS Toolkit plugin:

  1. From Zend Studio Menu Bar, go to Help | Install New Software.
    The Available Software dialog is displayed.

  1. In the ‘Work with’ field, click Add to add the Zend Studio update site.
    The Add Repository dialog appears.

  1. Enter the following information:

  • Name - The name for the new site.

  • Location - The URL of the Amazon AWS Toolkit Plugin site - http://beta.zend.com/studio-amazon/update/8_0

  • If you would like to choose a local or archive location click the relevant button to browse to the correct location.

  1. Click OK.
    The Zend Studio features are added to the Available Software list.

  1. Mark the following check-boxes:

  • Amazon Toolkit

  1. Click Next.
    The Install Details dialog opens.

  1. Click Next.
    The Review Licenses dialog opens.

  1. Review the license and select the ‘I accept the terms of the License Agreement’ check-box and click Finish.

  2. The Installing Software dialog opens with a progress bar of the installation.
    When the installation is finished the Software Update dialog opens.

  1. To allow the installation changes to take effect click Restart Now.
    Your Zend Studio restarts with the Amazon AWS Toolkit plugin installed.
