Configuring Extensions and Directives

To search for an extension or directive:

1. In the UI, go to Configurations | PHP .

2. In the Extension Action bar, enter your search string in the Search box, and press Enter.
   The search results are displayed.
3. To refresh the search box and search results, click X in the search box .
   The Extensions and Directive page default view is displayed.

To change the status of an extension:

1. In the UI, go to Configurations | PHP .

2. Select the check-box adjacent to the extension you wish to enable/disable.

3. Above the list, click or .
4. Click .

5. In the toolbar, the restart icon lights up , indicating a restart is needed to apply changes. Click to restart server and apply changes.
   For information on restarting in Zend Server, see Server Restart.

Notes:

You can enable/disable more than one extension before you click . All the changes that are made prior to restarting the server are applied after the restart.

If you navigate to other tabs, the changes you make are saved and applied when the server is restarted.

To configure a directive associated with an extension:

1. In the UI, go to Configurations | PHP.

2. Select an extension from the list.
   The extension expands to display additional information. If the extension has directives that can be configured, they are displayed as well.

3. Configure the directive as required using the available configuration controls:

• Value field - Enter the required value.
• Slide control - Slide to turn directive on or off.
• Drop-down menu - Click and select required value.

Tip:

Hovering over a control after configuring a directive will display the previous value.

4. Click .

5. In the toolbar, the restart icon lights up , indicating a restart is needed to apply changes. Click to restart server and apply changes.

Note:

Directives of extensions that are turned off can also be configured through the Directives and Extensions page. Added extensions that are not part of the original Zend Server for IBMi list of extensions cannot be configured on the PHP page.
