Post Installation on Windows

This topic explains Zend Server post installation procedures on Windows.

Installing Additional Components

If you wish to add or remove Zend Server components, you can do this at any stage after the installation has been completed.

Instructions on how to complete a procedure

To add/remove additional components:

  1. Go to the Windows Control Panel: Start | Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall Programs.

  2. In the Programs list, select the Zend Server program.

  3. Click Change.
    The Installer runs in Change mode, and displays the Welcome page.

  4. Select Modify, and click Next.
    The Custom Setup page is displayed.
  5. Expand the components in the list, and select the relevant check-boxes.
  6. Click Next.
    The Installer applies the changes to Zend Server, and upon completion displays the Finalization page.
  7. Click Finish.

Start Menu Options

The Installer creates a new entry in the Windows Start menu, under a Zend Server menu heading.

The following entries are created within the new Start menu section:

  • Change Password - deletes your current password. Clicking this option automatically deletes your password and opens a new password definition page.
  • Help and Reference - Opens the Online Help in a browser
  • Support Tool - Launches the Support Tool
  • Zend Server - Opens the Zend Server
