Upgrading Zend Server on Windows

The procedures in this topic explain the upgrade procedures for a single server and a cluster on Windows.

Upgrade Restrictions:

Upgrading Zend Server can only be performed when upgrading from Zend Server 5.6 or 6.x to Zend Server 7.x, or when upgrading between Zend Server 7.x versions. If you would like to upgrade a Zend Server older than 5.6, you should first upgrade to 5.6, and only then upgrade to 7.0. Upgrading PHP versions can only be performed on Zend Server 6.x or 7.x. Zend Server 5.6 Cluster Manager cannot be upgraded.
For a list of limitations and known issues, see Zend Server's release notes.

Note:

After upgrading to Zend Server 7.x, you will automatically be using a 30-day Zend Server Enterprise edition license. To continue working with Zend Server after this time period, contact Zend for a new license. For more information on Zend Serve editions, see Zend Server Editions.

Note:

When upgrading to PHP 5.5 from a previous PHP version, the Optimizer+ component is replaced by the OPcache (Optimizer Plus Cache) component.
