Adding a Server to the Cluster

Adding a server is the process of associating a machine that is running Zend Server with an existing cluster, to establish a clustered environment. Once added, the cluster settings and configurations will be applied to the added server to maintain consistency across the cluster.

Note:

Only similar servers (same Web server, OS, Linux distribution, architecture and major PHP version) that have not been launched yet can be added to the cluster.


	To add a server to the cluster: In the UI, go to Administration \| Servers. Click Add Server. The server configuration dialog is displayed. Enter the server's information as follows: Server Name - A unique name for the server that will be used for identification purposes. This name is used for your identification purposes and therefore should be descriptive enough for you to identify what server it represents. Server IP - The IP address of the server you wish to add to the cluster. Click . Zend Server restarts, and the new server will be added to your cluster and will appear in the Servers list.
Note: Existing applications on the server will be lost after becoming part of the cluster.
