Configuring Zend Server for IBMi

To configure Zend Server general system settings:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Settings.
2. In the General Settings area, configure the following settings:

• Results per Page - Set the amount of results to be displayed on all pages containing listed items (e.g., Overview | Events). Default setting is 20.
• Default Server - Set the default server to be used in application URLs (Applications | Configuration).
• External URL - Define a URL to be used for external references to Zend Server (e.g. mysite.com).

• Log Verbosity - Set the level of verbosity for the logs displayed on the Overview | Logs page. Click the drop-down menu and select a level (Debug, Info, Notice, Warning, Error, Critical, Alert, Emergency).
• Logout Timeout - Set the timeout (mins) for automatic user logout (to disable, set to 0)

3. Click .

To configure the Notification Center:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Settings.
2. In the Notifications Center Settings area, configure the following settings:

• Notifications Interval - Enter the duration of time between each polling by Zend Server for notifications.
• Notifications Email - Enter the email address for receiving notifications.
• Notifications Callback URL- Enter the URL for a customized action to be performed for each notification.

To configure the audit trail:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Settings.

2. In the Audit Trail Settings area, enter the following information:

• Email - Enter an email address to be notified when an action is performed.
• Callback URL - Enter a URL to be called when an audited action is performed.

To configure mail settings in Zend Server:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Settings.
2. In the Mail Settings area, select the mail service you wish to use (Custom, Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange). Selecting Gmail, Yahoo or Exchange will automatically fill in the remaining mail settings fields. Skip to step 6.c.
3. Select the mail protocol type (SMTP, Sendmail).
4. Enter the mail host.
5. Enter the mail port.
6. Select whether to use authentication. If you chose not to use authentication, skip to step 7:
   1. Click the drop-down menu to select the authentication method to be used (Plain, Login, CRAM-MD5).
   2. Click the drop-down menu to select a mail encryption type (None, SSL, TLS).
   3. Enter your mail account username credential.
   4. Enter your mail account password credential.
7. Enter an email address for responding emails.

8. Click .

To test your mail settings, enter an email address in the Test Mail area, and click .

To configure a cluster restart strategy:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Settings.
2. From the Settings menu on the left, select Web Server.
3. In the Restart Strategy Configurations area, select to restart a specific number of servers in the cluster or a percentage of servers in the cluster.
4. Enter a value in the relevant field.
5. Click .

To configure error reporting settings:

1. In the UI, go to Administration | Settings.
2. From the Settings menu on the left, select Web Server.
3. In the Web Server Error Reporting section, select which errors to display:
   • Errors only - Show errors only.
   • Full details - Show all types of information (errors, warnings, notices, etc.)
